Welcome to my website!

My name is Braden Romano, a marketing creative and photographer/videographer from West Palm Beach, Florida. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing at the University of Florida, while continuing to foster my passion for storytelling through film and photography.

The Degree

At the University of Florida, I have continued to build on my passion for Business Marketing, which began seven years ago with my first marketing course in eighth grade. Throughout my studies at UF, I've taken courses such as Building and Managing Brand Equity, Problems and Methods in Marketing Management, and International Marketing, all of which have significantly deepened my interest in this field. I’ve worked on case studies and projects for companies like Apple, Red Bull, and REI, providing me with valuable insights into impactful marketing campaigns that spark my curiosity.

The Leadership

Last year, I had the privilege of serving as the Multimedia Overall Director for Dance Marathon at the University of Florida, where I explored my passion from a leadership perspective. I led a team of 4 Assistant Directors and 29 photographers/videographers, overseeing the production of 50,000+ photos and 25+ videos that brought life to our social media campaigns. This position allowed me to gain insight from observing how other creatives brainstorm and capture moments through different lenses. As a member of the executive board, I collaborated closely with 14 other Overall Directors, particularly those from the Public Relations and Digital Marketing teams, to execute multiple marketing campaigns that amassed 500,000+ views throughout the year. In April 2024, we hosted our final event, which attracted over 1,500 attendees, including doctors and professionals from across the state of Florida, where we showcased our yearlong fundraising efforts for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, raising a total of $1,531,518. Through countless meetings, fundraising tactics, and connecting to our cause, Multimedia was able to surpass our goal of $45,000.

The year before that, I was Multimedia's Assistant Director of Video, where I oversaw all videographers and the production of all videos. This opportunity also gave me the privilege of editing the year's most important videos, including the 2023 Yearlong Campaign video for #ImagineTheDay, and the 2023 Main Event's Opening and Closing Ceremonies videos. As the Multimedia Overall Director, I was able to watch these same videos come to life, except this time, I was more involved in creating the campaigns and visions. Working alongside the Public Relations Overall Director, Marketing Manager, and my Assistant Director of Video, we produced the 2024 Yearlong Campaign video for #FightForMore, and the 2024 Main Event's Opening and Closing Ceremonies videos. You can see both year's campaigns and fundraising efforts come to life by scrolling back on @dmatuf's Instagram.

The Experience

Over the course of three summers, I had the opportunity to intern at PATHOS Creative Intelligence Firm in West Palm Beach, FL, where I gained diverse experience across several roles.

As a Business Development Intern in 2023, I led the organization and preparation of team responses to various Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including those from the Texas Water Development Board, the University of South Florida, and Mounts Botanical Garden of Palm Beach County. Our efforts resulted in a successful bid for the University of South Florida's RFP, establishing PATHOS as an approved marketing agency. I also developed a formalized approach for generating new business prospects in the healthcare and hospitality sectors, leading to over 150 new client prospects. Additionally, I had the opportunity to assist with videography and drone footage for commercial shoots with clients such as Levinson Built, the Palm Beach Police & Fire Foundation, and the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority, allowing me to continue my passion for film. This internship provided invaluable insights into the persistence and strategic thinking required to grow a firm's clientele.

As a Digital Marketing Intern in 2020, I managed Facebook Live events for Tenet hospitals, effectively communicating safety protocols during the pandemic. I also developed comprehensive media plans and marketing campaigns for clients, including St. Mary’s Medical Center, Delray Medical Center, West Boca Medical Center, Palm Beach Outlets, and Sunrise Ford. During this time, I earned certifications in Google Analytics and Google Search.

As a Content Creation Intern in 2019, I filmed over 100 drone video clips and captured more than 500 still photos to enhance the content library for PATHOS’ website and social media platforms. I edited organic content and created video animations for social media using Adobe Premiere and After Effects, and I organized the firm’s asset library to be integrated into its newly redesigned website.

The Passion

While I've crafted audiovisual content that evoke a wide spectrum of emotions, my true passion lies in crafting films that embody inspiration, hope, and action. The type of cinematography that makes you want to just get up and do something right when the video ends. Oftentimes, it's music that sparks the creative process. I’ll hear a song and immediately envision a story or call to action that could be brought to life with the right visuals and script.

As a passionate traveler, I have a deep appreciation for discovering new destinations and immersing myself in different cultures. Whether it's hiking Angel’s Landing in Zion National Park or swimming between the cracks of two continents in Iceland, my travels have taught me the beauty of taking risks and have heightened my creativity. This past summer, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy, where I studied art and architecture in this historical city. I feel humbled to have seen so much of our planet and I’m eagerly looking forward to future journeys.

I've created this website to share my projects with you. Feel free to reach out to me through the contact form or my social media channels. Whether you have questions, collaboration ideas, or just want to say hello, I'm always excited to connect with like-minded individuals who share my love for marketing, photography, and the art of exploration.

Best,
Braden Romano
